Welcome to our cabin on the Web. Troop 58 is chartered by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company of Gadsden, AL, since 1935. 2010 marks our 75th Anniversary and the 100th year of Scouting. We are a proud part of the Greater Alabama Council - Etowah District - Boy Scouts of America.
We are fortunate enough to have adults who are very active and committed to Troop 58. We often will have nearly one adult to every scout at the camp outs. Our scouts have a campout or activity every month, packed with fun.
Troop 58 is a year round program. This means that we meet Winter, Spring, Summer, & Fall. We are a boy-led program and camp at least one weekend a month, every month. We are not a fair weather troop, which means, like the Postal Service, we camp rain, sleet, or snow.
Troop 58 meets at the Goodyear Scout Cabin on Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. During our meetings, we work on Scout skills, advancements, merit badges, and fun. Please feel free to drop in and visit.

Important Note: 2010 Marks Troop 58's 75th Anniversary. If you are a troop alumni or know someone who is, please, contact us. Sept 11, 2010 will be our Anniversary Party. We are now trying to gather as many contacts as possible for this great event.
